There is so much to write about Ramy and the immeasurable value he added to my professional life at a critical period where I had enough but wanted more. I was successful at what I was doing but every day went to bed thinking something was lacking in my goals and my career path and did not know how to go about tackling it: sort of like the innovator’s dilemma!
Ramy was a rare find for me through the recommendation of a great friend and colleague of mine whose choice I trust a great deal. As soon as I had my first interaction with Ramy I knew I was on the right path. His coaching style feels like a beautiful blend of art and science. Art because he understands his client’s psychology and science because his approach is very scientific and academic with facts and methods curated for the specific person he is coaching.
Ramy has high EQ with deep understanding of who he is coaching, their potential and their dreams. Ramy is an example of everything that there is about growth mindset. He not only believes but will prove via coaching and real experiences that everyone has the potential to become that person they always look up to or dream of being. He always told me “if not you then who” which I understood the meaning of after a few weeks of our coaching together. Ramy was instrumental in helping me create my personal brand, which is an evolution, by finding and extracting what matters to me most. He then used this towards creating a path forward on how to most effectively work on achieving it. Even in moments when I believed there were too many obstacles and felt rejected, he believed in me and always found a way to show me the light ahead.
If I were to summarize this in Ramy’s words to me which are; “Praveena, always talk in terms of benefits or outcomes of what you do before you describe the process of how you go about doing it.” I would say:
1) Ramy’s sincere interest and desire to better my professional career is no less than what he would do for himself. Every minute I spent getting coached I felt I was with someone who deeply cares about me, knows me and who I can trust; especially getting help making difficult decisions and handling results we don’t expect.
2) He is extremely open, yet humble and nurturing. His feedback is massively constructive. He is the example of what he is coaching – essentially walking the talk and being the role model for the clients he is coaching.
3) He treats people like how he would like to be treated, making himself available despite his busy schedule, treating his client in a special way knowing when and at which moments he is needed the most. Ramy is one of the rare people who fit the perfect definition of what an Executive Coach should be for someone like me whose ambitions never stop and journey for learning and growing continues to expand just as the universe does!
